Model 1473 25-Watt 1x15 Guitar Bass Amplifier Rare
Nice, tested, working and sounds great.
Both channels work with a bit of hiss at full volume with no input connected.
Restored, the power capacitors, signal capacitors and some resistors have been replaced, see photos of under-chassis.
Original Jensen speaker. The power tubes 6L6’s are original Silvertone. The other tubes are vintage of various manufacturers.
The cabinet is in very good vintage shape.
All control work but may be a little scratchy when rotated but occasional exercise and DeOxit control cleaner should take care of that.
Although currently working and restored with many new parts, some parts are still 50+ years old, it is being sold ASIS and as pictured. No returns unless dead on arrival.
From the Silvertone World website
The 1473 was a close cousin to the 1472/82 and he 1484/85 'TV' model amplifiers, but still totally unique in the Silvertone line. Nicely spec'd for a portable compact bass amp; 25 watts of power, so it could hold down the bottom pretty well, 15 inch speaker, 4 inputs and 2 channels.
Seldom seem, super rare.
Introduced:
Fall/Winter 1961
as the 57G1473L
Retired:
Fall/Winter 1962
as the 57H1473L
