OME Triple X 1978 Mahogany

This is an OME Triple X banjo.

And what a banjo it is! This banjo has a remarkable tone which competes with banjos far beyond its price range.

This has an excellent tone which can be used for bluegrass, but because you can alter your playing style to extract remarkable warmth from this banjo it can be used for a wide variety of styles. There is no metallic tone present unless played very close to the bridge to get extra twang.

I have had this one for several years. Before I owned it the banjo sat out to look pretty for guests and was never played. It is still in very good condition.

The neck shape and width make the playability of this banjo great.
Spikes at 7, 9, and 10.

There is a small area on the side of the resonator where the finish is beginning to crack and a couple few indents on the head which can be seen in the photos. Excellent condition for its age.
The tone and playability are almost unmatched.
