"Jibson" (Gibson) Orfeus Acoustic Guitar from 60s Here
is for sale the great jazz guitar - a work of Plovdiv ORFEUS factory,
with completely incomprehensible logic called "Gipson". The body of the guitar is made of a standard spruce plywood.
Both decks are completly flat, reinforced inside with fir springs, the
upper deck has two classic f- shaped aperture. The glued-in neck is made
of beech (as
so as the fingerboard). Thу fingerboard has a 21 frets, not counting
zero one. Neck has no anchor. Mensure - 630 mm. Very bright body paint
and a vulture, so called "tiger burst"- Sunburst in the spirit of "fire in the jungle", decorated with transverse black stripes. Unmounted
bridge consists of two pieces of wood with plastic bone, with the
possibility of adjusting the height of the strings. Tailpiece - stamped
metal plate with holes for the strings, and a hook screwed to the lower
end of the body.
"Gipson" is a fairly unique tool. In terms of ergonomics it is comfortable enough at least while you are sitting, and even slightly thickish neck easily fits in your hand. The sound of the guitar is a pretty shrill, with a prevalence of upper middle. I can recommended this guitar for acoustic jazz and blues.
