This is one of the most amazing sounding things I've ever heard and I'm sad to see her go, but...life.
This console has been very, very well looked after in a temperature controlled, smoke free home studio and has not been engaged with commercial, daily use.
This is actually the second Tree Audio Roots console I've owned, and the reasons for selling the first one was an upgrade which I immediately regretted when A/Bing older mixes. So, I bought my second one. This is her, I've owned her for nearly two years and I've decided to sell her.
I'm always suspicious and curious to know why someone would sell something that they describe as 'the best thing ever', and the reason is solid. I'm bailing and going to sail around the world on a small yacht. I can't really afford a yacht and a console and it's probably a terrible, terrible idea that something like this would be living centimeters away from the ocean, so here she is, for your viewing - and potentially owning - pleasure.
The console has been very carefully looked after by David Aurora, and the only real problem that we've had is that an op-amp died. It took less than a minute to fix once diagnosed. I bought a spare couple to save time should one go again but after a total of 5 years of owning these consoles the op-amp death of 2017 was the only issue I've ever come across.
Input is 220v-240v, but if you want to run it at 110v this is a procedure that will be very easy for a tech to switch over. This is the advantage of being able to call the manufacturer, who is still making consoles, and has parts available. Waaaay better than owning something old and obscure.
Solid power PSU link cable, and a solid PSU obviously are included. This thing is built like a tank. It's not just a pretty face.
Having said that, it has sustained minor cosmetic wear, but nothing really noteworthy on the main surfaces that you look at...it's all rack rash and scuff marks underneath from it sitting on a wooden surface and being moved. I've done my best to show the flaws in the photos.
I've found Ian and Steve at Tree Audio to be seriously dedicated to their craft, and they always reply promptly to any questions if you own one of these. Other Tree Audio console owners have corroborated that position.
This console is the most wonderful bit of gear I've ever owned and I'll miss her very much!! I'm happy for the (local to me) tech of your choice to look her over at your cost, but will facilitate whatever is required. Shipping is just an approximate, you will be charged no more or less than I am. It will have to be insured too.
If you're planning on having her shipped, I will crate it properly before sending.
Good luck and happy trails.
