March 31, 2022 will be the final licensed production of the 1950s Kay Vintage Reissues.
There were only 1,625 instruments produced imported and USA produced each serialized with certificates of authentication.
Kay Vintage Reissue, LLC has officially ceased the reissue manufacturing due to continually rising material and labor cost, longer manufacturing production time, shortage of skilled craftsmen builders and limited production of Kay Vintage Reissue parts and materials.
The Kay Vintage Reissue limited production was highly successful and won many awards, excellent music magazine reviews and 5 Star ratings form users and players internationally.

Kay Barney Kessel "Jazz Special" Guitar:
Designed in 1956, Kay is the only Guitar Company endorsed with Barney Kessel’s signature. The K8700V Jazz Special is a full 17” wide body. That rich, warm, full body depth is what the discerning Soloist, Blues Guitarist and Jazz Virtuoso have been searching for.
Barney Kessel played Kay performing live in concert and in TV appearances. The Jazz Special was reissued in response to player’s requests for this highly praised and limited instrument from the 1950’s.
About This Guitar:
This guitar features a full, master-sized jazz body... 17" wide and 2 5/8" deep. Short 24 3/4" scale for fast fingering and easy playing... same electronic equipment as the Artist and Pro. Full hollow construction assures "acoustical guitar" response and tone quality.
Available in Natural Blonde and Tobacco Sunburst.

* Back: Parabolic arched flame maple
* Sides: Flame maple (2 5/8" Deep)
