Handcrafted in Nashville by Master Artisan Guitar Picks. Authentic USA quarter coin guitar pick, 1mm small jazz style with
liquid smooth beveled
edges that produce a voluminous attack and resounding harmonic sound
palette. You choose any year from 1965-2020 (just send me a message regarding your selected date).
Note: the 1965-1998 dates are the older "Eagle" reverse, and the 1999-2000 are the new "America the Beautiful" style with various states, territories and parks on the reverse.
Guitarists began using coins and buttons in the late 1800's (the early band era) when guitar became a lead instrument, while also providing a rhythmic percussive accompaniment. Players used these commonly available items as plectrums to increase the volume of their guitar compared to the piano, horns and other stringed instruments they were competing with. By the "Big Band" era of the 1940's, plectrums crafted from bone, horn, metal and various plastics were readily available to players, as well as early electronic amplification.
