Top-quality mid-1960s vacuum tube recording/mixing console made in Germany by EAB/Geiling.  This is the model RE-85, which can be seen now and then in various configurations, I suspect no two are exactly alike.  This one is in amazing condition, it looks almost new, and is exceptionally clean inside and out. It has 12 VF-12 input/EQ modules, with 3-band EQ.  Many of these are only two band, but this version has the very useful boost-only midrange band as well as shelving high and low bands.  Originally this desk would have been used for things like remote broadcast, so it is set up as a 12 in/2 out stereo mixer.  This console has had a very nice direct out modification done by Tim Mead at Vintage King, which makes it a lot more useful for multitrack recording.  The direct out amps are not vacuum tube, but are high quality and great-sounding electronics that allow the fine sound of the vacuum tube channel strips to retain all their mojo.  The electronics for this have been put inside existing blank modules, so there are no cosmetic modifications or holes drilled on the top panel.  These outputs appear on an EDAC connector on the back panel. Other features include an echo send, with a fabulous Magic Eye level indicator, EMT reverb remote, comprehensive switching for monitoring, a solo system, calibration controls for the stereo bus light meters on the top panel panel, and pan pots on channels 1,2,11, and 12. For additional technical information, please send me a message.  The sound of the console is as you'd expect- very clear, with a great sense of power and immediacy.  As far as I know, everything is working correctly, and included with the desk is a TT patchbay which has all the normal access points, and the wiring harness to the console itself.  There are also two external power supplies, which operate the direct out electronics and relays.  It's ready to start making records as soon as you hook it up!  (Re-listed due to a flaky non-buyer, in case you think you've seen this one before...)
