Early-mid 60s Orange Lifton/Gibson Dreadnought Case. Ideal for a J45, Gospel, Southern Jumbo, Advanced Jumbo, or Hummingbird Gibson. Bright, clean, soft (not dried) orange velour lining. Lots of cushion. Original brass latches, stamped Excelsior Made in USA, all working smoothly. Hinge-side protective ball-caps remain intact, while three new period-correct "feet," darkened to a vintage patina, have been split riveted solidly to case bottom. Silky yellow hinge ribbon and compartment pull-latch altogether unfrayed and shiny. Original Bruce handle with white faux stitching very solid and secure. Measures 12 1/2" at upper bout, 16 3/4" at lower bout, lining to lining. It's 42" long, and 4 3/4" deep at base, plus another 1 1/2" at center of arched lid. All said, a structurally sound, very hip vintage case from the orange sunshine sixties.
