This is an EMT 950 Broadcast turntable. It is in excellent condition and full working order.
This was the last and most sophisticated model of broadcast turntable that EMT supplied to the BBC
Obviously it may need a service to be sold with the title of having been a recently fully serviced machine & with a certificate of excellence but right now it can be seen and fully tested at my studios in Wandsworth London. All functions work absolutely perfectly. The electronics are all in immaculate un tampered with condition. I will soon post more photo's and add to the description.
All switches work perfectly All switching light bulbs work perfectly The perspex lid is in a very good condition apart from a tiny cigarette burn to the side edge (shown in photo) This could be restored easily with liquid plastic The platter mounting has a tiny nick in it (also shown in photo) which could also be repaired with a filler The deck will come with a high quality Ortofon cartridge mounted in the original EMT headshell.
I will only take a sensible offer if close to the asking price. I can take cash on collection. I'd prefer this machine to be collected from me in London but could deliver it personally anywhere in Mainland UK and possibly Europe.
I would be prepared to pack it and let it be shipped abroad but only at the buyers expense and by arrangement with me.
