Fully Restored Pair Of Fisher 80AZ Monoblocks - 30WPC Mono Power Amps With Unique Looks And Classic Fisher Performance!

For sale is a pair of fully restored Fisher 80AZ vacuum tube monoblock power amplifiers. These beautiful Fisher power amps boast a 30W rating per amp. The performance of these amplifiers after restoration is downright jaw dropping. Amazing detail, clean/punchy bass, great overall balance and absolutely zero hiss or hum when running! These give you everything you want from a tube power amp with none of the hassle. They're as plug and play as it gets!

These amps also include a power level indicator and a damping control. Both power level indicators have been calibrated to match as closely as possible between the amps. The damping controls were also verified to be working but we found these amps sound best with the damping control disabled.

Cosmetically, both amps are in good overall shape for their age. One amp has some paint missing on one side and the other has a few small transformer dents and marks. Neither really detracts from the beauty of these amps.

Note that these are two very slightly different versions. One amp has an additional 4 Ohm tap on the output transformer. However, both amps are otherwise identical and were made to match 100% sonically.

Electronically, each amp was rebuilt by first rebuilding the power supply from the ground up with fresh ultra high quality, high temp electrolytic capacitors and power resistors. Then the amp boards are gone over carefully and any changes made to one amp was made to the other. All film caps were replaced with modern high quality Panasonic film caps. Again, each amp was made to match the other circuit-wise so that there are no sonic differences between the amps.

All tubes were upgraded with brand new JJ 5AR4 rectifiers, JJ 5881 power tubes as well as NOS testing 6201 and gold pin Japanese 12AU7 (great quality Mullard clones).

We strive to respect these vintage designs as much as possible and try to remove as few parts as is necessary for reliable daily operation. All components that weren't removed are inspected and checked for drift/tolerance. Each amp is verified both on the bench and more importantly, in our system to verify proper, reliable operation.

Both amps will be carefully packaged and shipping in one box with full insurance.
