This bass has one thick killer sound. Its perfect for recording and studio work. Its small and light and perfect for long sessions. Wonderful rock powerhouse bass guitar. Looks amazing and cool! The guitar also has minor superficial dings, scratches, wear and tear around various parts of the guitar. Typical of a guitar of this age. This bass is very rare and there are no other ones listed online for sale. The guitar version of this guitar is a little more common but this bass version is rare. Brass hardware very well made guitar. Please note a few screws are missing from the electronic cover plate that is protecting the electronics on the back of the bass. I will try to find some screws for you that will work at the hardware store.

In any case, this was the environment in 1984 when Jack Westheimer of Cort got the idea to come up with his own cross between a minimalist and a travel guitar and designed this guitar. Actually, Westheimer’s inspiration was less the Steinberger or Duke or Chiquita and more the Colt 45 handgun. Yung Park tweaked Jack’s design and in 1985 the Cort 45 debuted. Jack used to laugh that he was the only one who ever connected either the name or the shape of the guitar to a pistol! Headstock: Tuner functions, no bent shafts.

Nut: Good.

Neck & Fingerboard: No cracks, inlays secure, binding secure, fingerboard is clean, neck secure.

Action: Good. No dead spots.

Frets: Fine.

Body: Good Shape.

Bridge: Stock.

Electronics: All good!
