Up for sale is my 1990's Made In Japan Fender Telecaster Custom in beautiful Candy Apple Red finish.
Overall excellent condition. The neck is super straight and comfortable to play with very minimal fret wear. Plays nice and low with no buzz. The alder body is super clean with a couple barely noticeable surface scratches on the back of the guitar and one super small ding below the neck plate. The sides and front are pristine and ultra clean! This alder bodied Telecaster weighs in at a reasonable 7 lbs. 9 oz.
Both neck and bridge pickups have been upgraded to Fender Custom Shop Texas Specials, giving this Tele a nice fat neck position sound and a spanking bridge position tone reminiscent of the early 50's Tele's. The original pickups are included in the super clean brown tolex G&G case with plush orange lining.
I'm selling this guitar due to the purchase of a 1960 Telecaster Custom from the Fender Custom Shop. The Custom Shop guitar looks almost exactly the same, but has the closet classic finish and weighs in a few ounces less. The two necks are nearly identical. If they were transposed, I would have a hard time telling with one was which.
Insured shipping in the US.
This is a great example of the quality MIJ guitars Fender produced in the 1990's, don't let this one slip away!
