(NEW) Here we have another incredible example from our friend and neighbor Chuck Baleno. Baleno’s Size 2 is our top selling parlor guitar, and it’s no wonder. These meticulously crafted, hand-made instruments are an exceptional value in their price range.
The Size 2 is a short scale (24.5″) 12-fret parlor with traditional styling and hide-glue construction, and the torrefied Sitka top gives it not only a warm, played-in sound, but completes the vintage visual aesthetic quite nicely. Mahogany back and sides make this a very articulate little box, and despite it’s size, it is just as comfortable stumming as it is picking.
Besides the premium tonewoods, Baleno guitars have plenty of built-in features that push it beyond almost anything else in this price range: stainless steel frets, compensated 1 3/4″ bone nut and saddle, compound radius fingerboard, wood binding and Golden Age tuners.. what more can you ask for?
