About This Listing

Excellent condition limited run PRS KL380. Basically a Custom 22 soapbar with a korina body. There's a few dings around the edge of the headstock. Otherwise, aside from some light playwear it is in great shape considering the number of gigs it has played. There's some minor fretwear on frets 1 - 8, but no buzzing. Neck is straight and truss rod works as it should. Locking tuners/nut/vibrato work together great to keep it playing in tune. Listed as "very good" condition because 2 of the pickups have been changed. Arrived to me with a Lollar bridge P90 and what must be a special order Lollar strat-style pickup in a P90 mount. The pole pieces are the magnets like on a strat pickup. Works great in the middle position. It also had a Lollar P90 in the bridge position, but I needed a little more versatility so I installed a TV Jones Powertron in a P90 mount and the tone control pulls to split the Powertron's coils. The pickup selections on the 5-way switch provide the following:
  • Bridge pickup
  • Bridge/Middle pickups
  • Bridge and Neck pickups
  • Neck and Middle pickups
  • Neck pickup
This is the standard PRS 3-soapbar 5-way switching. They use the double-wafer 5-way to get the neck/bridge combination instead of the useless middle pickup only provided by stock strat 5-way wiring. My addition of the push/pull tone provides 3 more sounds by splitting the bridge p/u coils in positions 1 - 3. Original tone pot is included.Nice weight at 8 lb 4 oz. Case is also in very-good - excellent condition. Includes vibrato bar, truss rod tool and some paperwork, hang tags and spare tuner screws. Neck shape is "Custom Soapbar" according to the hang tag. Feels pretty much like wide-fat to me.
