Handmade clavichord after a 18th-century German original. It’s a beautiful instrument, and a lot of fun to play, but I’m just not playing much Bach these days and it’s too quiet for continuo (it is a clavichord, after all.) It was built in the 1970s by a master woodworker and amateur musician here in Pittsburgh, probably using a Zuckerman kit. It does have a few easily-correctable flaws: the lid has never been attached and would require hinges, and one of the removable legs is about 1/4” shorter than the others. (I solve the latter problem by screwing the leg in part way; you could also easily shorten the other legs.) The instrument is easy to tune and very lightweight. Local buyers preferred as I will not ship this, although I could be persuaded to deliver within a 50-mile radius.
