This is one of Conn's larger bore Constellation cornets. The larger bore brings out the sweet, rich cornet sound that entices some brass players to move away from trumpets. This Constellation, #N15145, was made in 1970 in Elkhart Indiana before Conn left Elkhart for Abaline Texas for those of you who know why that can be important. It is in excellent playing condition so plays like a dream... as you would expect from an Elkhart Constellation. The silver body with tasteful gold trim here and there give it a great look too. There are no dents, or dings, just some feather light finish scratches in the lacquer which is about 98% intact. Sometime in the past the first valve trigger and bracket assembly were removed. From the last photo you can see that the valve plating looks new and that all the slides are free.
