Ritter Roya 5, #0458, Mahogany, Natural Oil, 35" scale, with OHSC, 4.0kg!

Up for sale is my truly incredible Ritter Roya 5, #0458, with a 1-piece Mahogany body and flamed maple neck. It has a natural oil finish and comes with its original hard case.

I could wax lyrical all day about how amazing this bass is but I don’t need to because it's a Ritter and their reputation proceeds them. Suffice it to say they really are worth every penny of their not inconsiderable price tag!

What I will say is that this bass sounds and plays significantly better than anything else I have ever owned and I have owned some very nice basses in my time: Warwick Thumb NT, Warwick Streamer Stage 1, Wal, Yamaha TRBJP2 to name a few.

The Ritter Roya is ergonomically and tonally perfect. It balances absolutely perfectly and the slim neck profile make it a joy to play. The tone is definitely "hi-fi" with incredible clarity and definition, with the coil selectors, tone control and pickup blend even in passive mode you will likely find any tone you could ever want - bring in the 18v active parametric EQ with sweep-able midrange and you have a greater tonal palette than you will ever likely need.

The bass is in very good used condition - there are some very light marks on the back but you have to hold it at the right angle in the right light to see them(I have tried to show this in the photos but the marks are difficult to see - there are a couple of deeper marks on the bottom of the body and I have tried to show these in the photos. The gold hardware is lightly tarnished but everything works perfectly as you would expect from an instrument of this calibre. The bass has been recently setup with new strings, frets have been polished, fretboard cleaned and oiled, currently set to have a very low action but no frett buzz!

Please note that although the weight listed on the certificate is 3.8kg I have weighed it myself and found it to be closer to 4.0kg
