FRAP acoustic pickup & 3 FRAP Preamps (Neil Young’s Secret Acoustic Tone)

Extremely rare vintage acoustic Frap system: 

1 Frap acoustic pickup, & 3 Frap Preamps (F-100 preamp, and two Model T preamps). 

The FRAP pickups and preamps (Flat Response Audio Pickup) are used by Neil Young, and is why his acoustic sounds amazing live. (Also used by other legendary players such as Michael Hedges, Beck, etc). 

These pickups have 3 transducers in them, picking up sound from 3 different axes (3 dimensional pickup), producing a rich and complex sound.

Detailed description:

•The Frap 3D pickup, the F-100 preamp, and the Red Model T Preamp all sound great. They've just been tested by a technician. 

•The F-100 is powered by 4 batteries, giving it plenty of power and headroom.

•As seen on the pic, written-instructions-stickers have been put on the front of the F-100 preamp Stainless Steel case for visual cues when playing live. The original F-100 and Frap serial number are written in the back. 

•As seen on the pic, the Frap pickup silver sticker has a tiny ink spot on it: this is purely cosmetic and does not affect the sound at all since the pickup element is in the back and this is just a sticker. The pickup works great and is ready to be installed inside the guitar by a guitar tech (the sticker won't be seen).

• Note: As a bonus, I include a 3rd preamp in the package: The black model T preamp works fine, but I noticed a subtle static noise sometimes (probably would need a tune-up eventually). But Frap preamps being vintage equipment, it's also wise to just keep it as a back-up for spare parts if needed in the future.

I have a Frap in my Martin acoustic guitar (installed by Larry Cragg) and I play through Frap preamps, and it gives a level of realism and richness to the sound that I cannot reproduce with any other system. 

These gems are very hard to find, and when they pop up they're rarely found as a full system, and most of the time are in average to mediocre condition. Here, you have a full Frap set-up, in good condition and ready to be installed, plus a choice of preamps (and spare parts for a lifetime if needed).

p.s. The Model T preamps can be attached to a guitar strap, this is a  practical way to combine the pickup and the preamp.
