VERY NICE VINTAGE 1971 HARMONY SOVEREIGN H1203 WESTERN SPECIAL ACOUSTIC 000 CONCERT GUITAR. DATE STAMP, F-71, INSIDE. EXCEPT FOR SOME SORT OF BLEMISH ISSUE BY THE BRIDGE, THIS GUITAR LOOKS LIKE IT WAS HARDLY PLAYED. I TOOK PICTURES TO SHOW THE BLEMISH BUT IT APPEARS TO BE GLUE BETWEEN BRIDGE AND SOUNDHOLE, THOUGH I CANNOT REALLY TELL. PERHAPS IT IS A DEFORMITY OF THE WOOD. ACTION IS DECENT AND THE GUITAR IS QUITE PLAYABLE EVEN UP THE NECK BUT IT IS GETTING SLIGHTLY HIGH. THE GOOD THING IS THE SADDLE HAS A LOT OF ROOM TO SHAVE DOWN. THESE H1203'S ARE BECOMING MORE AND MORE DESIRABLE. SOLID QUALITY WOODS. IF YOU ARE LOOKING AT THIS, YOU ARE PROBABLY QUITE FAMILIAR WITH THEM. SOLID WOOD FLAT TOP GUITAR MADE IN USA AT THE CHICAGO PLANT. SPRUCE TOP, I BELIEVE MAHOG SIDES AND BACK, ROSEWOOD FRETBOARD. LADDER BRACED AND STRUCTURALLY SOUND. THE GUITAR NEEDS NEW STRINGS AND WOULD BENEFIT FROM A SETUP TO GET ALL THE ADJUSTMENTS CORRECT. NUT IS IN NICE SHAPE....THESE GUITARS ARE BECOMING RARE AND MORE DESIRABLE. GET ONE BEFORE YOU CAN'T.
NOTE: THIS IS A VINTAGE GUITAR ALMOST 50 YEARS OLD. I'VE DESCRIBED IT AS BEST AS I CAN. THE PICTURES ARE A HUGE PART OF THE DESCRIPTION SO LOOK AT THEM TOO. IT WILL BE SHIPPED WITHOUT A CASE.
