Red Diamond mandolin (Grisman owned)

One-of-kind Red Diamond mandolin owned by David Grisman prior to me. Red Diamond mandolins are custom built in Ohio by master luthier Don MacRostie and are played by some of the world's most prominent mandolinists in genres ranging from jazz to bluegrass, including Aaron Weinstein, Don Rigsby, Johnny Staats, Butch Waller, Bobby Osbourne, David Grisman, Lou Reid, Chris Hillman and more. This Red Diamond, #137, was made in 2001 and is in EXC+ condition. It is the only Red Diamond in a custom grey/black finish. A truly striking and unique instrument with the power, tone, balance and clarity for which Red Diamonds are known.
