Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. I've turned 65 years old and I've retired from playing in bands. With that, it's time to thin out the herd as they say. What we have here is a rare and very hard to find Epiphone Non-Reverse bass. This one has been refinished in a very cool and unplayed sonic blue. Additionally, the cheesy stock pearloid pickguard with the even cheesier "red bird" stamp has been replaced with a much more realistic and vintage correct looking guard. The original "overseas" PJ pickups have been replaced with a set of really nice active EMG PJ pickups. The EMG pickups are dead quiet and also makes this bass a very potent instrument. She's also sporting a new set of Dunlop strap lock buttons. The bass plays really, really well and weighs in at 8.8 pounds. THIS SALE DOES NOT INCLUDE A CASE. When shipped, the bass will be "cocooned" in large bubblewrap and packed well in a heavy-duty Reverb box. Make no mistake about it, this is a very cool bass in all respects. Unless you have a totally original 1964 Gibson Thunderbird in a custom color and want to do an even swap, no "let's trade" requests please.
