So, I originally got this mic because it reminded me(
maybe no one else) so much of the Sony C-800, which I couldn't afford. I know some of you might think that's crazy... but... It is super sensitive, has that baked/heated up midrange, painless top end, expensive noiseless thing going on. It can't help but be upfront and focused. It can pick up whispering by your neighbors at the end of the street if you want it to. I own a
Bock 251(
which I am also listing), and a few other high end mics, have worked with a ton, and the Valvet X was by far the most "expensive" sounding mic I had in my possession.
If you have been chasing a "HIT" Pop vocal sound, Pop/Hip Hop, mature pristine character... this is it.
