Like the original, the AR5000RE features a mahogany body with a flamed maple top, a striking vine neck inlay and extensive electronics for amazing tonal versatility. The top is highly figured AAA Flame Maple finished in a sought-after Antique Violin Burst. The neck is three-piece maple with a volute and contoured heel, bound ebony fretboard with abalone vine inlay and a composite bone/brass nut. Pickups are Super 58 humbucking pickups with Gibraltar bridge and Quick Change Classic tailpiece. Gold hardware, Ibanez branded tuners with pearloid buttons.
EXC+ condition with light patina on the hardware, a minor lacquer scratch on the tummy cutaway, and faint finish swirls.
"The toggle in the upper horn is the pickup selector switch. The main 3 knobs control Master Volume, Master Tone and EQ level. The 3 smaller knobs are part of the Ibanez EQ Tone System. They are center notched to accurately provide plus or minus 15db of gain in three frequency bands: Bass/Mid/Treble. The red LED is a Power Indicator for the Active EQ's 9-volt battery. The lower toggle is a By-Pass Switch that turns the EQ System On or Off, the other two toggles are Tri-Sound switches for bridge and neck pickup parallel-tap-series switching."
