This guitar is a custom project that I worked with Richard Hoover to develop.  We started with an OM Grand model with the aim to make a very versatile guitar that had a soulful, sophisticated voice and that responded to picks and fingers equally well.  Essentially a top of the line rosewood workhorse!  Better sounding than a dreadnought, but more powerful than an OM.  I basically wanted to wrap up all of the Martin Rosewood sound here.  As far as Santa Cruz it's like the voice of their OM/PW model with the power of a larger guitar and added oomph, because those smaller ones for me don't work well with strumming.  It is similar to a Skye model for someone who strums and flat picks but also does some fingerstlye blues.

I reserved the 067 serial number as the name of the project was '67 Grand to reflect the spirit of the guitar and the history of the OOOO.

It is actually an OM/PW Grand because it has Advanced X bracing, but the model designation remains OM Grand.  It has hide glue, adirondack braces, and many upgrades.  Brazilian overlay, brazilian rosette, brazilian binding, abalone inlays, abalone logo, abalone strap pins, mellow color bone, custom voicing/bracing, stylish natural look to replicate an old nautical map, striking cocobolo feather on back.

When I ordered, I requested a master grade, old stock, bear clawed, moon harvested, italian spruce to be paired with a cocobolo similar to Brazilian rosewood.  I wanted it to be viable to both strumming, picking, and finger style.  I will say that in lighter playing, especially finger style the guitar shines the most.  This is why I am selling it, because I find that at heart I am truly a slope D mahogany type person and that's the only guitar I need.  I can't afford both so I am selling this to build another Santa Cruz.   This guitar was close to 11,000 new, and it has been sitting next to my stereo, had ToneRite on it, and been played a lot.  It has 99.99% seen studio keeping and use.  This as broken in as a five year old guitar gets... much better than it was new.   Every inch of this guitar vibrates freely, when you put a ToneRite on there is not one millimeter that isn't humming.  It is extremely rewarding, responsive, and alive to play because of this.  Bold sophistication.

I am accepting offers on this guitar, but I am not motivated to sell it for much of a loss because it is in great condition and sonically better than new.  It is nearly impossible to find used santa cruz guitars this upgraded... There is nothing that wasn't spent on this build.

I will be glad to answer any questions, and if you want some audio or video of the guitar I can provide that as well.  I got married and am now having a child so it's necessary to simplify my life to reduce the stress.

About me:  Berklee College of Music and Full Sail student in performance and music production, I also do engineering, and have managed to become a semi-professional musician in North Texas.  I have great ears and can relate to people, I don't want anyone to buy this guitar and not be satisfied so I will speak with you about what you're looking for if you want.

I'm in North Texas if you want to play it, local airport is DFW but I'd recommend Love Field.  Also, I forgot to take a picture but I have a SCGC chesnut or mahogany something rather strap that goes with the guitar.
