This guitar is from the early eighties. It belongs to the 4th generation
of Freshers, which were made in Chushin Gakki's factory. The guitar has
a body made from Sen (Japanese Ash), a maple neck with a big headstock and
Rosewood fingerboard. Vintage-style frets. The pickups and hardware are
original. The guitar is in good condition - the
front of the body has a few minor dents, the back is slightly scratched.
The neck, however, is in almost perfect condition - the top coat is as
new. The frets show minimal wear. Sound-wise the guitar is a very good instrument. The Ash body and
Rosewood fingerboard give a very interesting, slightly 'darker' and
'throaty' sound, which is characteristic of classic Strats. Freshers are outstanding guitars in my opinion - the sound is full
and rich in harmonics. These instruments are not inferior to
better-known Japanese brands such as Tokai, Greco and Fernandes, but are
significantly cheaper.
