I bought this new at Gruhn’s in Nashville in 2001. I hate to part with it. I have to downsize my collection to fit into a new smaller studio. It’s a very special guitar. Everything works and sounds perfect.
Gibson’s serial numbers have always been a mess. The company has changed hands a number of times and they seem to change the serial number system at random, often instituting a unique system for Custom Shop instruments.
The serial number here does check out for a Custom Shop build.
6 digits total using the formula YXRRRR, sometimes with a CS in front, but not always.
Y=Year (2000)
X=Factory Code (0 is Nashville, 1 is Memphis)
R=Production Rank (0632)
