For sale is a beautiful 2005 Ibanez AEF 100. This was the top of the line AEF model back in 2005. This model was made in Korea prior to Ibanez contracting the majority of their manufacturing to China.
The AEF body shape is slightly smaller than a dread. The lower bought is as wide a a dread, but the waist cut is a bit narrower. The back of the guitar is slightly arched.
The AEF has laminated quilted maple top, back and sides. The top also sports abalone purfling. It has a maple neck with rosewood fingerboard and cool wave inlays. The guitar is equipped with a Fishman Aura preamp. The tuning pegs are gold tone grovers that function perfectly. Don't let the Ibanez name fool you. This guitar is a serious stage acoustic that can easily meet the needs of the professional performer; at the fraction of the cost of other big name acoustics.
Here's what the Ibanez catalog says about the Aura preamp:
"The Fishman Onboard Aura uses 6 selectable custom acoustic sound images created especially for the AEF 100. Each image made with a different top shelf microphone so the plugged-in tones precisely match the AEF 100's unamplified voice. The sound images can be blended easily with the standard pickup signal according to taste. The Aura also includes a programmable 3-band active EQ, on-board tuner with mute, active feedback and more"
This guitar is in excellent condition. It shows very little signs of being used. There are some superficial pick marks and small clear coat swirls here and there. No nicks dings or major scratches whatsoever. The original hard shell case is included.
Shipping is included in the asking price. I will only ship to the continental US. No exceptions.
Reasonable offers will be considered but may be countered with an amount that includes shipping. Please include your zip code with your offer.
Returns are always accepted within 14 days of purchase. The guitar must be returned in the condition in which it was received. The buyer is responsible for
return shipping costs.
