Custom built guitar built by Sam Radding, a San Diego luthier best known for giving Bob Taylor a start as a guitar maker (Taylor went to work for Sam and later bought Sam's studio to start Taylor Guitars).
It is a travel-size guitar, all solid wood, walnut back and sides with a Sitka spruce top. The spruce top is darker than most Sitka tops you'll see, probably a function of being closer to "heartwood" or the center of the log. The back and sides are figured walnut. The bridge and fretboard are made of pao ferro (Bolivian rosewood), the nut and saddle are bone. The neck is 1.75 inches. It has flame maple bindings and back-stripe. Great for fingerstyle. It comes with a well padded, custom made gig bag.
