Player's Perspective

ESP's E-II series guitars blend the unsurpassed quality of high end ESP models with the accessibility of the LTD line. They're immaculately built, professional-grade instruments ready for the stage, studio and road.

This axe offers crushing tone, stellar build quality and a beautiful Blue-Purple Gradation finish. It's a pretty straightforward guitar without a lot of bells and whistles on the surface: What you're paying for here is the delicate balance of excellent build quality alongside an extremely calibrated string feel and the high-quality EMG pickups and electronics. It's a tougher build concept to pull off than it may seem - make a guitar that can withstand the abuse of a touring metal band, but make sure the feel won't get compromised by a fraction of millimeter in the process.

This one's loaded with the venerable EMG 57 & 66 set of pickups. These are unique because they're active pickups, but feature Alnico V magnets and impart a vintage-style level of output to the tone. These combine the best of both worlds, providing PAF-like classic tone and dynamic response with the clarity and headroom of active pickups. If you're into old-school singlecut guitar tone - the tone that made rock history - these are the EMGs for you!

This is a guitar that can take a beating, look good while doing it, will never let you down in its construction, and will sound lean, mean, and ready to rock through it all!

Manufacturer's Description

Formerly called “ESP Standard”, all ESP E-II instruments are created at our ESP factory in Tokyo, Japan, and are designed for professional players who accept no compromises in tone, feel, or reliability for their guitars and basses. if you’re looking for a high-performance guitar that will absolutely stand out from the typical instruments out there, the ESP E-II Horizon NT-II with its Blue-Purple Gradation finish is guaranteed to turn heads with its brilliant gradient color scheme over a quilted maple top.
