Update 10/1/2019: nut width is 43MM and neck profile is a flattened 'C' ('D' is a deep 'C').
Vantage ... built in KOREA (neck has a well-chromed rear plate with "Vantage Made In Korea" and a serial # and slogan). It is about the nicest skinny H H Strat 'HARDTAIL' you are likely to see, let alone buy ! Not 'Vintage'... Vantage was a high-quality brand similar to Tokai and very well designed and made. Slender body is not thick and fat. And mine is very well-priced, so do not try to get a Korean high-quality hardtail Strat for a China cheapie price!
And be clear : the pics do NOT show the dramatic grain and rich trans red finish well... the color is more carmine and deep red/clear over a 3-piece very sharply grained body. You are in for a nice surprise! It is a stunner and feels slightly small and plays EASY! This is one of the few best looking Strat types I ever saw.
I had a Joe Satriani once and this is much like it: skinny body, curvy everywhere, nice maple neck and rosewood board , with top notch tuners that need no help at all and good humbuckers and a recessed jack at the END like an Ibanez (not like a Strat). 3-piece body with snappy grain pattern and a gorgeous red transparent finish. This was and is ... quality! And it is set up! I use .009-.046 set (hybrid) strings for that lighter feel and still delivers that real humbucker sound. My pals are Lindy's friends and they do repair/setup at high level in Richmond, so I paid attention !
The Vantage neck and fretboard are perfect... not chipped or dinged or stained. The headstock nor neck plate tell the model name, but it is a hardtail, string-thru Strat H H with V and T controls only. I would replace the pots with full size 500K ones (CTS or similar) to make it sound its best. 1 string ferrule at the back was replaced, but you have to go looking to notice it. /neck is light brown tint in the gloss finish.
Note: Very nice bluesy and strong neck pup and a twangy, piercing bridge tone. 3-way LP type switch and I have a plain black gig bag to send it in. Notice my feedback here and in eBay is 100%. My repair/setup pals hang out with Lindy, so I know my way around guitars and do most of my own setups/adjustments.
If the shipping is lower than my amount, I will refund the difference in PayPal ( fee free ) to you. Across America can easily be 90 dollars, so I have to ensure the shipping cost is normal to you. Korea build of a classic and well-made Strat H H at this low amount is a DEAL and the shipping is modest, any way you view it!
