Westone Thunder 1A bass guitar  finished in red and made in the Matsumoku factory in Japan in 1982. The body is made from ash, with a maple and striping through the centre of the beautifully grained body and with a fabulous unmarked maple bolt on neck with a 20 fret fretboard  which is also in an unmarked condition. The headstock is red faced with the ''Westone'' logo, two on a side Westone tuners which are of a very high quality, and a truss rod cover stamped ''Thunder 1-A''.  There are volume and tone controls together with a three-way pickup micro switch; and the active side is operated by two nine volt batteries housed in the back of the body, and with a tone control knob stamped on the top with B-O-T  - bass - off - treble.
This is a great looking bass a very good player and not so common in this colour.
