Offered up is (1) fully functional Tom Scholz Rockman Model II B personal headphone amp from circa 1983-ish.
8 AA batteries are required for this and are included!
This is a clean unit with typical scratches and cosmetic blems. And it sounds just you'd expect a Rockman to sound!
The slide switches operate freely as they should. No corrosion found on the battery springs.
**All Electrolytic capacitors inside the unit have been replaced.**
The Rockman features (2) Clean and (2) Distortion modes with Chorus and Echo (Reverb) effects.
It's an earlier model without the side AC adapter jack.
Note:
The battery cover is a 3D Printed proto with better contacts than the original.
However, it is fragile and must be removed and re-installed by loosening the screws.
Turns out that Def Leppard used Rockman devices on the awesome Hysteria album from 1987.
ZZ Top is rumored to also use these devices on Eliminator (Give Me All Your Lovin' & Sharp Dressed Man)
Joe Satriani had endorsements with Rockman. And I even hear traces of the 5150 era "brown sound" when playing through these. Blasphemy to think, I know! But if you like these players, or the Boston tone, then you will love this!
Free Shipping within CONUS only and is at our discretion but will most likely be either USPS First Class or Priority Mail.
We carry a 100% feedback rating from a popular auction site. So you may feel at ease to buy with confidence!
We will guarantee this unit is fully functional and not DOA. Returns are negotiable and must be accompanied with original packaging. No exceptions.
Buyer will receive (1) Rockman Model II B with batteries! Other items shown are for reference only! Thanks for Looking!
