Great quality and value 1990’s bass in excellent, clean overall condition. Small scuffed area from guitar stand on the back, light play wear around pickups and controls, etc.
All original, and lightweight at only 8 ½ pounds. Nut width is 1 5/8"
Comfortable non-offset P style body, 21 frets, solid Yamaha tuners (better than typical clover leaf tuners). Neck is made from high quality maple with rosewood fingerboard.
The pickups are in more of a 70's Jazz Bass position rather than the 60's position. The neck pickup is in the usual location, but the bridge pickup is 1/4" closer to the bridge. You can see this in the first photo.
In general, the material selection and build quality is superior to a MIM Jazz Bass.
Two Added Extras With No Price Change:
1) New Dual Design Straploks
2) New 5/16 Truss Rod Wrench
See added photos of these items.
This bass, like some Yamaha basses has an 8mm / 5/16" hex nut instead of an Allen socket barrel nut. Wrenches for this size truss rod nut can be hard to find. I have included a new wrench. It should fit other Yamaha basses as well.
Truss rod works great. Recently set up and restrung with new DR Sunbeams. Will ship well packed in a gig bag to CONUS addresses only.
