Trinity Amplification Blue Angel Boutique Chorus

This is the Blue Angel chorus from Trinity Amplification. The Blue Angel is a really great sounding, completely analog, hand built in the USA, chorus pedal with a surprising range of flexibility. The rate, depth, and mix knobs cover a wide palette of sonic textures and really let you dial in that perfect tone!

There is often an interesting story behind small companies, and Trinity Amplification and the Blue Angel is no different. Dissatisfied with the choruses that are generally available, I wanted something warmer, smoother, and more flexible than what I found on the market. Armed with great determination and a soldering iron, I set out to create the best chorus effect ever heard. One day while experimenting, I stumbled into a design that seemed promising. I was trying out that new design one day and someone overheard me playing. They said that the pedal "sounded so heavenly, you should call it the Blue Angel". And that's how the pedal got its name.

At the urging of some friends, I setup Trinity Amplification so that we could market the Blue Angel through the major guitar stores. We even managed to get the Blue Angel into the hands of such famed musicians as Kirk Douglas (The Roots), Page Hamilton (Helmet), Ritzy Bryan (The Joy Formidable), as well as a few others. Unfortunately I found out that while I may be a capable engineer, I am a much less capable businessman and Trinity was never able to really get off the ground.

I'm selling these pedals on Reverb for two reasons. The first is that I'm trying to recoup some of the expenses I incurred in setting up Trinity. The second is that I still kind of hope that by spreading this story, Trinity (or some form of it) might rise again. The Blue Angel was originally priced at $250, but I've setup this listing at $125. If you're timid about laying down the whole $125, please make me an offer. I'm open to negotiation!

And now, the fine print. These pedals are brand new, have all been tested, and are carefully packed in their original boxes with their original accessories. Since Trinity no longer exists, the included warranty card isn't valid, but I am guaranteeing these pedals not to be DOA. If you happen to get one that doesn't work, you can return it through the usual Reverb process for a full refund.

FAQ. Things you might be wondering about.

This is an 18Vdc center positive pedal. It will not work with a typical Boss style 9.6Vdc center negative supply. I do include the correct supply in the box, but if your pedal board has an 18Vdc center positive option, feel free to try it. If you experience issues, please try the included supply before deciding that the pedal is broken.

This is a "pseudo-stereo" pedal. What this means is that if you use both outputs, one will have the pure wet signal and the other will have the pure dry signal. This arrangement sounds especially fantastic in a live setting. Unfortunately, the pedal can not be converted/modified into "true stereo".

There is no expression input for the pedal.

If you want to adjust the range of the rate control, you can change R12. Try halving it (220K) or doubling it (1Meg).

This is not a true bypass pedal, but it is well buffered so it won't load down your signal.

Repairs: There is no warranty beyond the Reverb return window. However, if your pedal should need repairs outside of that window please contact me. I pride myself on being helpful and accommodating.
