This is NOT a reissue. It is a vintage USA Kramer.
All the parts (except the trem and cavity covers) are factory original. However, I'm certain this neck didn't come on this body. This body most likely would have had a wider neck with an R5 locking nut like virtually every other 1984 or 85 Kramer I've come across.
This neck has an R4 nut and the neck doesn't wedge into the pocket as tight as my R5 Kramers. Other than that, it plays great and sounds spectacular.
From top to bottom:
German Schaller tuning machines - the old kind with the angled screw tab.
NO ALLEN KEY HOLDER. BUT YOU CAN SEE THE SCREW HOLE AND INDENTATIONS FROM IT.
German R4 locking nut with string retainer.
Maple neck with rosewood board. Virtually no fret wear. Pearl dot inlays, not plastic.
German Schaller-made original Floyd Rose with screw in bar. 3 springs. Wood screw posts. All black hardware.
Schaller strap lock buttons. Black.
Seymour Duncan JB. Vintage 1985 pickup wound by MJ. Absolutely screams.
Factory volume knob and pot. New Switchcraft jack cuz the old one was noisy.
Body is ash. Made by Sports in Connecticut. All telltale marks are there. Was refinished with nitro lacquer at some point. Shows wear and some dings. Only major chip is on the back of one of the horns.
Kramer neckplate does not have a serial number. I was told that's due to this body being made for a celebrity endorser, but I have nothing other than word of mouth to back that up.
I think that covers it for full disclosure.
Priced to move since it's a mutt.
