This awesome listing is for one extremely rare vintage 1930's Gibson Charlie Christian pickup out of an ES-150. As of this listing, it appears to be the only Charlie Christian pickup for sale online pretty much anywhere.
It is in excellent overall vintage condition & very complete. The bar has been modded or notched by hand it appears. This is fairly common with these pickups. The pictures show cosmetic condition very well.
DC resistance is right where it should be at 2.56kohms.
Original braided wire lead is approximately 10" long, so should be plenty for most installation applications.
There is a small & barely visible crack in the black area going from the bar to one of the points & a very minor cosmetic mentionable.
The height adjustment screws seem to be a little angled, but no evidence it took a hit or otherwise. Screws and springs are all in excellent condition & move freely.
Regarding my price, the last example of another sold true vintage Charlie Christian pickup (from lap steel) sold recently on the "flea-bay" for $445.00. That pickup was listed as "for parts or not working" & appeared based on description to be water damaged & likely needed to be completely rewound at the least. It was item number 142937608616 for your easy reference. This is a great deal.
I do not expect it to last for long before purchased, so if have questions, best to get them in quickly. I did my best to describe thoroughly, but am always OK with more detailed questions.
