Vintage very rare Japanese guitar with 6 pickups stereo output

Sorry, this listing has ended.

Here is a vintage and rare 6 pickup late 60's era Japanese guitar. These are usually branded "St Moritz" and were apparently imported by the Manhattan Novelty Corp. This one has no logo badge and no evidence there ever was one. It may have been removed or this one might have been left over when the production run ended and sold to another firm. Probably made at Fuji-gen-Gakki circa 1968. It's got 6 individual pickups, one for each string and they are set up in two groups of three...low E-A-D and G-B- high E that can be sent to separate outputs. The output jack is stereo but if you plug a mono jack in and set the mix control to mono you will get all 6 pickups. I'll include a quality stereo cable that will let you access both outputs. It will ship in a good quality padded Roadrunner gig bag that fits well and is in like new condition. The guitar is in excellent original condition...all hardware is original, tuners, bridge, tailpiece with vibrato arm, sunburst finish, electronics, knobs, etc. The neck is straight, frets are great, neck angle set correctly.  The action is nice and low. The original plastic nut was kind of icky so I had a new bone nut professionally made and it plays really well.  (I'll include the original if you want) The neck is 1 and 9/16" at the nut which is on the narrow side. The tone is full and jazzy...but it's good with a fuzzbox too! It plays and sounds great but let's face it, this guitar is really about the extreme bizarre looks and this one is cracks, breaks, or repairs...finish in great shape, no fading, strong 3 tone color. A few small dings and scratches here and there but overall really clean as you can see from the photos. My rule of thumb for pricing Japanese guitars is $100 a this one is $599. Expensive yes, but these don't come up very often in this condition. Grab this and enhance your collection. Get in touch with questions or for more photos etc.
