About This Listing

This early 1970s Hayman 4040 was made in England and has a serial number of 60751173.  It features a way cool lucite pickguard that allows for switchable pickup configurations,  giving you a wide variety of tone possibilities.  The neck scale is 34″ with 20 frets on a black bound maple fret board.  The unique headstock features a clear Hayman “H” logo encased in clear plastic.  It has an amber/red/black burst finish and is in excellent overall condition.  The neck plays fantastically and the bass has a strong and punchy tone.  The pickup selector, volume and tone knobs, bridge, and saddles are all replacements.  There are drill holes likely from the original parts.  It's got some small dings and indents in the body but otherwise it is in fantastic shape.  Comes with a hard shell case.
