Fender Showman Amp with minor Shakedown Amps Mods 1965 Black Tolex Jerry Garcia Head

This pain me to sell as it is truly the best sounding amp I own, and it is a piece of rock and roll history. Alas, money is tight, and the herd needs thinning.  This Showman Amp is in excellent condition minor the slight warping in the chassis front next to the indicator bulb and the broken speed knob. Other than than that, cosmetically, the unit is immaculate. Now, as far as the modifications done by Joe Martin at Shakedown Amps (one of the best in the business and a personal friend). The left channel was left totally stock-it has an incredibly vintage bluesy tone to it with a lot of early break up. This channel really nails the 1978 single coil wolf Jerry Garcia Band single coil sound. The right channel was dead sounding when the amp came to me. I'm not sure what Joe did to it, but it is gorgeous sounding, without losing any of its original BF sound. He informed me that the mods performed on this channel were minimal. One notable other mod: You can blend channels by taking a cable and placing it in the second jack of the channel your plugged into and running the other end of the cable over to the opposing input on the other channel.  This mods allows you to mix both channels to get characteristics of both in your sound. It is very useful if you want to add extra body to single coil pickups, or if you want some aspect of the channel that you're not primarily using.  The amp comes with the original vintage pre-amp tubes as well.  I recently had the amp looked at by my trusted amp tech who gave it a clean bill of health.
