The Alvarez Artist Series AP710SB Parlor Acoustic Guitar is a stunning instrument made with a hand-selected A grade Sitka top with rosewood back and sides. The high gloss finish really brings out the beauty and grain in the rosewood and like all Artist Series this one has advanced scalloped bracing and premium all natural components. Just like Artist ’60 models the ‘70’s have incredible tone and the rosewood helps to accentuate the highs and lows just a tad more.
This little parlor guitar is one of the most popular models in the whole Alvarez line. It has fantastic energy and response for its size and it’s incredibly comfortable to play. Center-scalloped bracing was used for this parlor, which lets the top really react to the finest of touches. This probably makes you play this small-bodied guitar differently to how you would larger instruments, which leads to all sorts of great stuff.
The term “solid top” refers to the soundboard of an acoustic guitar being made of solid wood, rather than being laminated. However, just because the top is solid, it does not necessarily mean the sound automatically benefits from this feature. The tone of the instrument only improves significantly when the whole guitar is built correctly to really release the energy a solid soundboard can generate. The all-new Artist Series is built to do exactly this.
Each model is designed to get the best out if its components, and for them to work together to produce a tone and player experience, rarely found in affordable instruments. The sound is warm, open and powerful, and both the treble and bass registers are clearly present and balanced in relation to each other.
This guitar was sent to the refurbished because it is a discontinued model, it had no issues. It has been professionally set up at the refurbisher and is ready to play out of the box!

Why buy a refurbished guitar?
I specialize in manufacturer refurbished guitars and basses because I believe they are a tremendous value. These instruments have actually passed more quality tests than those that go straight from the manufacturer to a music store. These instruments do not have major flaws, they have had a minor issue such as a slight finish blemish or perhaps an electrical issue such as a loose solder joint. I buy my guitars and basses from the largest, and in my opinion the best, refurbishing center in the country located near Nashville. They are staffed with factory trained luthiers who take great pride in the products they put up for sale. Each instrument must pass 5 tests before it is released for sale. Some of the models are discontinued and have no issues at all. Each instrument is stamped used and issued a new serial number. This is to prevent unethical retailers from selling these instruments as new rather than refurbished, because a refurbished instrument does not carry the manufacturer warranty. I live close enough to Nashville that I travel to the factory and pick out my guitars myself. I play each one prior to listing it for sale. You can be assured if I would not be proud to give it as a gift, I will not take it.
The pictures in my listings are ALWAYS of the actual instrument that is listed, I never use stock photos for a refurbished instrument. If I know why the instrument was sent for refurbishing I will put it in the listing, however many of them are rated NVR, which means no visible repair. Please email me with any questions you have, you will find that I give very detailed answers. I am a musician first, and that drives my choice of instruments to sell and the detail that I give in answering any questions.
Thanks for looking!
