The Stargazer is a digital reverb made by Hungry Robot Pedals. It can attain super wet ambient tones, but can also be dialed back to a nice straight reverb.
The Stargazer comes in two varieties: Single Channel and Dual Channel. The dual channel has an extra row of settings that you can seamlessly switch to with the right footswitch. The idea behind this is to set one channel to a super ambient reverb and the other to a nice straight reverb. The controls are as follows: Mix, Sparkle, and Decay.
The Mix knob controls the amount of reverb in the signal. The mix knob allows you to go from a light, hardly noticable reverb to a super ambient, wet reverb. The Sparkle switch switches the voicing of the reverb. With the Sparkle switch down the reverb signal is dark in tone and resembles a hall reverb. Turn the Sparkle switch on and you add a sparkly, ethereal quality that can really cut through the mix when you want a noticeable, ambient reverb. The last control is the Decay knob. This knob controls how long the reverb signal lasts. Turning it up will cause the reverb to stay present for longer. Turned all the way up, you will get a nice long reverb (5-7 seconds).
