The Plainsman made by Richter in Chicago, IL. was in production from 1938-42. The tuners are stamped with Kluson Mfg. Co. Chicago, I’ll. Sold through Montgomery Ward.
The Plainsman model was named the 1936 film starring Gary Cooper and Jean Arthur. The stencil on the guitar is of Wild Bill Hickok from the film.
Unique original case included, where tail end of case opens up.
