This Hohner HS 40 guitar is a great example of a high quality, attractive, and extremely playable instrument crafted in Korea over 20 years ago. I purchased the guitar (new) in the mid-90s to add a ‘jazz axe’ to my collection. The guitar was gently used at home for a couple of years then retired to the case ever since.

There are no issues (mechanical, electronic or cosmetic) with the guitar and case. However, there is some slight tarnishing of some metal parts. The finish on this guitar is beautiful and the bindings have yellowed over time to a vintage patina. All controls, tuners, bridge, and action work properly. Strings are medium gauge flat-wound type (for classic jazz tone). Frets are in great shape and the action is low. In my opinion, this guitar looks, plays and sounds great (refer to the SoundCloud demo track I recently recorded, all guitar parts used the HS40).

The original hardshell case is in great shape (in keeping with a guitar that’s been stored away for decades!). Some original paperwork, a truss rod wrench and case key are included.
