API Mixer (3x 8200+ 13x 7600 + API 7800 Master Module)

Up for sale is my beloved API Mixing Console/Sidecar. It consists of 13x API 7600, an 3x API 8200 8 Channel summing mixers and a API 7800 master section with API VU meter and a AKG headphone system.

This makes a great 32 channel tracking and mixing console in a very small foot print. (20U). On each API 7600 channel you get a 212L mic pre, 225L compressor (can be linked for stereo sources and can be pre or post eq with a touch of a button) the legendary API 550a eq (indented for easy recall), 4x busses and 4x sends (sends can be pre or post with a touch of a button), mute, solo, gain, pan and LED VU Meter. You can also add faders and analog vu meters via TRS cables to each channel at the back so it can have that vintage analog console look. I even know where you can get motorized faders with recall if you want to add it down the line. All of the units have new op amps changed out less than 6 months ago.

Currently, I have these units incorporated with my API DSM 24 mixer (3x api 8200) to make a nice 32 channel mixer inside a custom desk I made as per the first picture. It is smaller than a 1608, smaller (and better in my opinion) then the API THE BOX v1.

The API 7800 is a great monitoring section and master buss section. It provides the outputs for 3 sets of speakers and 3 inputs for different stereo sources, Insert and return for the master buss so you can add a nice stereo compressor or EQ like the API 2500 and API 5500. It also has dim, dim volume, mono, and a talk back section. You can add a master analog fader and I have the API analog stereo VU meter connected to this. Basically everything an API console would have. This is powered by an original API power supply.

All ribbon cables needed to integrate the units with the summing mixer will be supplied plus power cables.

Why only 13 strips? I have 13 API 7600 channel strips because I was trying to get to 16 channel's plus 24 channel's of summing. But I never got the last 3 channel strips. So why am I selling? Well I've decided to move overseas and not take this with me. So I am selling the whole desk. Furniture too if you want it.

I am looking at selling this as a whole unit and do not want to separate each item just yet. There are no returns on any of these items as this is not an item that is sold anymore by API and it is not in warranty. Just like any console, you will need to maintain it and from time to time do maintenance on it.
