Awesome bass; a super player.
here are some fun facts about the 86. It retains the look of the classic Roadstar Standard basses, but the basswood body was made slightly smaller, so it is slightly lighter than previous years. the tuners were upgraded to the same ones used on the high end Musician models, the fretboard is rosewood, most importantly, the same Super P 4 is used
This bass has a finish crack on the face, lots of scratches on the pickguard, scuffs here and there, obvious aesthetic headstock issues, and worn finish on the back of the neck. none of this affects the performance or playability. This bass plays and sounds awesome. super comfortable.
86 represents the final hooray in Ibanez's Golden age. in 87 everything went Soundgear and pointy glam wierdness.
8.8 lbs, a standard 1 9/16" at nut 2 1/4" string spacing at bridge.
