About This Listing

Hi all,

Hello from the land of the Denver Broncos!
I have for sale a 100%-original vintage 1967 Fender "BRONCO" solid-body guitar... with its matching amplifier!!  This is probably the only 60's vintage Fender mojo you'd be able to find at this kind of price, except for maybe a Musicmaster (try pricing 60's Strats, Jazzmasters, Jaguars, ETC). The Bronco was a student model at the time, and very similar to a Mustang, except for having one pickup and a different, unique tremolo assembly. It only came in "Fiesta Red". This is a nice VG/7 condition guitar with a great neck and rosewood in EX condition! (the neck is dated 16Nov67B).  There is just a little fret wear.  The body has a few paint chips, mostly along edges.  It has a nitrocellulose finish (not poly), since this is the 1st year of issue (they stopped making the Bronco in 1980 or so).  As you can see from the pics, I pulled the pickguard and there are no routes or mods underneath.  The pots are original Stackpole pots are dated week 31, 1966.   The Bulwin case it came in is likely original, and is in fair condition.... no extra charge for the 169 crazy stickers... they are possibly worth a fortune, and are a conversation piece that will last for hours  :)

The "early Silver Face drip edge" amp is a VibroChamp circuit, AA764 (not a bad thing), and marked as such on the tag. It is EX condition, with original tag, nice tolex and grill cloth and original speaker.  It has amazing tone for studio application and is small enough to be a great practice amp. It was just serviced in late 2018 and the invoice and original parts are included, as pictured ($200 for new tubes, adding a 3-prong and other safety features like removing the "death cap"-- yes, you can be electrocuted!). The chassis is dated January 1968, the CTS pots date to 1966 and the transformers to 1967. This was the first year made of only 2.   It is basically a VibroChamp, w/o the black paint on the front.

This is a chance to get a nice original SET, probably sold in early 1968 (I will absolutely NOT split the set because they came together and deserve to STAY together for all of vintage eternity).  Oh, by the way, the bridge pickup on the bronco really does buck-- actually a pretty screaming little axe.  Know that it is a 24" scale Happy to send more pics and answer any questions... this is a fair price, when you consider the clean early Broncos are often going for $1500 and you see the amp for close to $1K on some sites.

BUYER MUST PAY FOR SHIPPING BOTH UNITS INDIVIDUALLY.  I WILL REFUND ANY EXTRA IF ACTUAL COST IS LESS UPS GROUND INSURED.
MY PRICE IS FIRM BECAUSE OF THE STORY HERE AND THE UNIQUENESS OF GETTING A MATCHED SET AND MID-60's FENDER MOJO AT THIS PRICE RANGE.
