Probably the oldest "modern" Kay flat top I've seen. Early post-war, c. 1947. Pre-war's seem to be all parlors, Venetians, Hawaiians, etc. Pre-script stenciled logo and blue badge soundhole label. Solid spruce top with laminate mahogany back and sides. Original bridge was split in two, so I used it as a template to fashion a new one out of ebony (original was only ebonized fruitwood). New ebony nut. Pickguard is correct-era vintage, and the right shape, but slightly larger than the missing original. Insane tone! Huge bottom end - blows away many top-shelf dreads. Action is just below 1/8" (slight neck relief), and it's a comfortable player. Appropriate vintage case, although not original to this guitar. Shipping is West Coast estimate. Will be less if closer to Ohio.
