Overview
The USRG series of USA Custom RGs was produced by Ibanez for a few years in the mid-'90s. These models were produced entirely in America, and were available in a variety of configurations. The USRG10 featured a AA maple top, and string through bridge, while the USRG20 featured a locking Lo-Pro Edge tremolo. The USRG30 kept the 20's Lo-Pro Edge, and upgraded to a AAA figured maple top. All three models featured the unique "Tension Free" neck design, which used a 3/8" steel bar in the neck in lieu of a traditional truss rod, and has a distinctive metal bar in the back of the neck just below the nut.
