Handmade guitar crafted in Spain from the famous luthier Ignacio M. Rozas. This guitar is beautiful. It has a traditional cedar top with mahagony back and sides. The binding is beautiful and shows the painstaking time and effort that went into making this guitar. The guitar has been played often and well cared for. The tone of the guitar has opened into a warm and inviting sound. It was purchased in 2003 directly from the guitar maker's shop in Madrid, Spain.
The guitar is overall in good condition. There are a few imperfections here and there, but nothing too noticeable and not more than what you would expect from a well-loved instrument that is almost 20 years old.
Also included is the soft case that was purchased in the store with the guitar and has the logo and address of the store printed on the case. The guitar is just beautiful and is a dream to play.
A little history on the maker...
Ignacio M. Rozas is a well known and respected luthier that comes from the Madrid tradition of classical and flamenco style guitars. He apprenticed under Jose Ramierez from 1959-1969, then worked under Manuel Careras for 17 years before starting his own shop in 1987. He retired in 2008 and his guitars have become highly sought after and have increased in value. Owning this guitar is like purchasing a small piece of that Spanish guitar making history.
