Overview
The Gibson CS-356 has similar lines but a smaller overall size than an ES-335, with a AAA bookmatched arched Maple top and a routed solid Mahogany back piece with a solid center piece (as opposed to the separate Maple center block of most 335 models). Two '57 Classic humbuckers are paired with gold hardware, block inlays and the Gibson Custom four-spoke insignia. The jack is on the side rather than the top.
This model was available with an optional Bigsby. A Koa top model was also produced in Natural finish.
Years of Production: 2002 - present
